We would like to remind you that during the winter period (from 1 November to 30 April), it is mandatory to have the correct tyres on your vehicle when driving in the Haut-Jura. You must either equip your car with snow tyres or have a ready-to-use snow chain (or “sock”) kit in your car boot.

Here are a few tips for assembling your snow chains !
– Before taking the road in the direction of your mountain holidays, practice beforehand to make sure you know how to put on the snow chains when the time comes.
– Always put your chains on in the dedicated chain change bays so as not to block traffic.
– The chains must be tight, otherwise there is a risk of them coming loose while driving and damaging the car. So drive a few metres after fixing your chains so that you can tighten them !
